Reading Tutoring with Me

​Hi, I'm Corrine!

I started Clever Fox Tutoring to help students who struggle with reading, writing and spelling. 

In my first years of teaching, I never felt my students were making adequate reading gains. Traditional methods just didn't seem to work and I was so frustrated! I started to look for answersfound the Orton-Gillingham Method of educating readers. I was stunned at how quickly students started making progress and catching up to and even surpassing their peers.

I have a Masters in Education and Literacy from DePaul University in Chicago, IL and am a Certified Structured Literacy and Dyslexia Specialist.  I currently work as a Dyslexia Specialist in private and public schools and have opened a tutoring facility in the heart of downtown Denville.

I use only proven, multi-sensory methods of teaching reading and spelling. Students learn to 'break the code' of reading through the process of decoding and encoding words. The results are often quick and noticeable. If your child needs reading and/or spelling help, I know for a fact that this can be a game-changer. I know because I see it over and over.

Students would say that I am kind, funny, and encouraging. I pace my instruction  so that children are engaged and working hard. Children are rewarded for great performance with something that makes them feel joy: depending on the child this could be food (parent-approved), a prize or fun movement breaks after challenging  activities.
